ABOUT HIYOSHIYA
In the later Edo period, we set up a store in Kyoto and have been manufacturing traditional Wagasa for over 160 years.
PRODUCTS
"Kyo-Wagasa" is a simple and stylish umbrella, made of the finest materials and traditional techniques. "Kyo-Wagasa" is unique in its capability of various occasions. Ban-gasa is commonly used for daily purposes, while Nodate-gasa is perfect for formal and special scenes.
ABOUT KYO-WAGASA
Introducing the world of "Kyo-Wagasa" which is strictly judged on its aethetics, especially by people of Kyoto who tend to have unique aesthetic view point.
TRIAL WORKSHOP
We have a trial workshop to spread the idea of Wagasa, where you can experience making mini-Wagasa, as well as mini-Kotori lamp which is a modern lamp shade inspired by traditional tecniques of Wagasa.
